  "planet audio 5000 watt amps I really like the amp, and I've used Planet Audio before, so I know they deliver good sound for a fair price. But there are a couple of things I dislike about it: the amp lacks a separate high pass filter, and the manufacturer lies about the wattage. This amp does not have a wattage rating of 5000 watts. In the best case scenario, it will have a maximum output of 2000 watts, compared to a high-quality 5000 watt amp like hifonics, dark audio. I'm not suggesting that this amplifier is subpar. It's a fantastic amp, but the fact that its watts are nowhere near the advertised wattage irritates me. But I connected it to four 12"" Planet Audio 1800(max) subs, and now my car is rattling like crazy, and I'm getting a good massage and plenty of bass! Two for the price of one!"

  "This amp is an excellent value. Does Not get hot often and powers higher end Subwoofers with ease just beware the power ratings are overrated .. The real wattage you can expect from.this amp is approx... @1ohm x 1750 RMS x 1 channel @2ohm x 1050 RMS x 1 channel @4ohm x 650 RMS x 1 channel Max wattage is an illusion . does are the real numbers. I have this amp on two CvRT Kicker Subwoofers rated at 500 RMS each . at 2 ohms and this amp pushes them perfectly. Can be heard from around the block . so for 1700 watts RMS you cannot beat the price of this amp .(130-150$ new ) just compare prices with other amps. A real 5000 watts RMS will more than likely over power and blow any regular everyday subwoofer setup .. They also cost upwards of 700$+."

  "I was doubtful about this amp then my buddy bought a 3000 watt one it slammed 2 10 inch alpine type r so in the game of bass i had to go with the 5000 he was sad he didnt buy it first now i have a 99 mustang vert and since getting the amp i went with planet audio 10 subs 2 and a 10 fared cap sound clean and loud! "

  "this is a must have AMPLIFIER. there is no cheaper for the power if hooked up correctly. i love this amp! i tried hiphonics and powerausoustic 5500 watts; they aren't even close to this amplifier. i have the bass all the way down and it bumps like crazy "

  Had it for about a month without hooking up the fuse and it blew my kicker cvrs i upgraded to 2 trios si12.22 and it bangs hard in a probox..i will be buying again

  "This is my second planet audio 5000 not because anything is wrong with the first one I liked it so much I needed a second one its a lot of bag for the buck you wont find a stronger amp for the money low distortion, very clean and clear sound I highly recommend this amp. "
