Product Description

Planet 5000 Watts Max Power Class D Monoblock Power Amplifier 1-OHM Stable

  • POWER: 5000 Watts Max x 1 @1-Ohm, 2500 Watts Max x 1 @2-Ohms
  • CLASS D: Power loss is significantly reduced making the amplifier highly efficient. Excess energy is stored until it’s needed instead of being converted into heat. Reduction in size/weight, reduced power waste, smaller heat sink, compact circuitry
  • MOSFET POWER SUPPLY: A MOSFET is an electrical switch that allows the flow of electrical current. It controls the output voltage and current precisely by removing the output current sensing loss & eliminating all secondary feedback circuitry
  • 1 OHM STABLE: Able to continuously power loads of 1 Ohm without encountering difficulties such as overheating. Typically made to power up subwoofers that demand the heavier power load requirements to be able to perform the way they were made to
  • STRAPPING CAPABLE: You are able to strap TWO TR5000.1D amplifiers and double the power that is being sent to your subwoofer(s). You now have the ability to connect more subwoofers to take advantage of the extra power
  • VARIABLE SUBSONIC FILTER: To prevent your subwoofer(s) from bottoming out, the variable subsonic filter filters out frequencies below the subwoofer(s) specified low frequency limits and allows the driver to reach a maximum safe excursion
  • VARIABLE LOW-PASS CROSSOVER: Subwoofers reproduce sound based on a number of different low-range frequencies. You can set exact sound specifications for the bass frequency reproduction

"If you're on the question about buying it, do it. You won't be disappointed. The planet audio 5000 watt amp is well-made and loud and strong. I'm using two 12-inch Skar SDR-D2 subwoofers rated at 1200 watts RMS each and wired to 1 ohm. It is an understatement to say that it is noisy. This amp has a lot of power, and with the right subs, it can be pretty loud (piss off your neighbors loud) and have decent sound quality. Without a question, I will suggest and purchase again. If you're thinking about purchasing this amplifier, go ahead and do it. You will not be sorry."

For the price you can't beat it. There are better amps out there but if your looking for cheap I highly recommend planet audio but do not expect 5000 watts best I could get was around 3500 but with about 2000 rms but that's all I needed

I have no idea how these companies claim absurd values like 1500 watts (would pull over 100 amperes from battery and wear out alternator very quickly) however hooked up to a 12" sealed at 2 ohm load... it does giver. The amp has a 30 amp fuse so it's max output is (30amps x14.4V) 432 watts at 100% efficiency. So more likely about 350 watts after losses. It's plenty enough to punch deafening decibels with a decent sub. Features are great, everything a mono block amp needs and sounds clean; the included volume control really adds user ability to tailor the tunes.. and mood. No regrets.

"Bought this a year ago to replace my Kenwood amp that burnt up going down the road. So I figured way not try something new and different. Thought this amp was a joke and and month after buying it, it blew one of my kicker cvr comp 15 more like burnt it up. Bought another sub since I needed one for my potted box long story blew three more sub and the amp gain was only half up running with1/0 gauge. Had this amp in three different car and flexing of the door glass, windshield and back glass in my truck has car keeping their distance and turning head when I pull up at the light. I’ll post a video soon "

I have to go around in a neighborhood and listen to some good ass bass. This amplifier, and Stratos speakers, has been giving me wonderful memories of my mommie's system when she had her Chevy. I've gotta say, I think mine is way better than what hers ever was! I'm so glad that this came in!

Exactly what i needed. Upgraded from a planet audio anarchy 1500 watt amp. I have it pushing one VM audio 12" encore sub in a custom box, and im pushing 125db. Easy to tune, clean sound, and amazing excursions from my sub that i didnt have before.

VERY VERY unpleased with the amount of power this amp puts out!! 5,000 watts, that's a joke! And I was UPGRADING from a Lanzar vector 6,000. The the output @1 ohms is way more than the vector, but yet the vector hit TWICE as hard!!!!

So far very impressed with the planet audio Torque 5000.1. Lots of power and options. I also bought the planet audio eq. Good quality for the money it cost. I've been into car audio for over 20 years, demo and competition. Pretty good . I also bought 2 American bass elite series 15's. Hard hitting system.

The best amp ive bought so far and ive bought quite a few already. I got this amp hooked up to a 10 farad capacitor pushing 2 15 inch evl skars.. definitely does the job very low bass, does not cut out and the amp hasnt overheated once

Had a “cheap” planet audio amp in my truck that lasted 7 years before it gave out. Ordered a kicker amp a couple of weeks ago and it did not work so I sent it back and ordered another planet audio. Only problem I had is that the auxiliary base control knob doesn’t work unfortunately

Push it to the max 100% all day everyday from day to day drive or big trips to TX or Ohio at ohm. Had it just over 6 months and I truly have gain wide open but I'm under powering this 6k Orion 15" I'm going to stack this amp with itself.

I bought this to replace one that was just smaller and couldn’t push what I had. I hooked it up protection light came on. Hooked up the old amp worked great. Checked out my wires and everything is sound, so for some reason this amp was messed up when I got it I currently have a shop looking into it now

Great Amp at a great price. Is handling 1ohm no problem at all. Doesn’t deliver a full 5000 watts but many Amps don’t deliver the full watt they say. I intentionally bought this 5000 watt Amp to push 3000 watt subs knowing that it will not really push a full 5000 watts. If you plan for it then you can get the max push on the subs you have.

This amp is awesome and the levels of control is unbelievable, the amp that I had pushing my 12's hit really hard but was huge and heavy. I needed a smaller and lighter amp and I did a lot of searching for the perfect blend and "wala" perfection in its finest. Seriously this is the best amp that I've ever brought. Planet Audio please keep up the great work.

I have now had this amp in my car for 2 years, has been extremely reliable! Don’t know if you can beat the quality for the price! Absolutely would recommend if you’re trying to save a penny or two but can’t go without some extra bass for your cars stereo system! High level inputs work amazing saved me some money when I needed to instead of spending the extra 20-40 on a line out converter!
