"It's preferable to polks audio. They were bought to replace the front dash speakers on a 2019 Jeep Wrangler and are well worth the money. I even bought some polks, which sounded much better than the polks. I was curious to see which one I would return. These 3.5's will fit in the front, but not on the sound bar on top of your head due to the magnet's size. The polks, on the other hand, were a perfect match. The tweeter simply rubs against the plastic grill cover. "

When it came to upgrading my stock 2013 CX5 Sport stereo system, this was the best money I spent. The addition of these to the dash made a huge improvement in the clarity of Bluetooth phone calls. The addition of these to the dash was the best upgrade of all. I finally updated my door speakers and installed a subwoofer, but the addition of these to the dash was the best upgrade of all.

I ended up buying two sets of these little guys to replace the speakers in an old mid-century modern vinyl cabinet. I really didn't expect the amount of sound these little guys produced (I have four of them, so that might help)...but man, they sound fantastic in the cabinet when combined with some cheap 12" woofers I purchased. Price/performance/quality ratio is excellent.

I wanted to replace the dash speakers in a 2001 Saab 9-3 and didn't want to spend a lot because they were only going to be driven by a Kenwood head unit. In reality, I felt compelled to spend as little money as possible. I chose these because I have a long and supportive relationship with Pioneer, and because Saab is a GM company, I thought "specialty fit for GM vehicles" was a plus. They went right in without a hitch and, to my delight, sound fantastic. Don't get me wrong: these are 3.5" speakers with 14 powerful RMS watts, but I was impressed when compared to other 3.5" speakers powered by simple head units. They're making the most of the adorable little amp!

"I bought these for use in a home-brew battery powered bluetooth stereo-in-a-suitcase for near-field listening to music on my laptop computer which has particularly anemic built-in speakers. The treble of these Pioneer speakers is quite good, and bass in a fairly well sealed solid box is impressive for the size of the speaker. Listening to ""Mother Nature's Son"" from the Beatles Anthology 3 CD, the imaging was excellent - the speakers ""disappeared"" acoustically. I was planning to add a down-firing 6-8 inch woofer/subwoofer to the box, but boosting the bass a bit in iTunes led to a surprisingly clean, deep bass that has led me to abandon the subwoofer idea. With the 64Hz boosted at 6dB and the 32 at 12dB, the overall frequency response sounded surprisingly flat. "

These speakers sound fantastic, but they need some modification to fit in a 1985 Monte Carlo SS. It took a long time to complete the installation. I had to solder the speaker wires to the speaker connectors rather than using the supplied connectors because the connectors would not clear the dash opening; even with the factory speakers, it's a tight fit. Six washers were also needed to keep the speaker grille from crushing the speaker face. They're not the perfect match, but if you get creative, they'll work.

I have a 2007 Nissan Altima and wish I could be more enthusiastic with these speakers in my dash, with the stock non-Bose system. Installation was a "if I had to do it all over again I would just leave what was there" ordeal. Now installed, these do bring slightly more presence up front but definitely not the treble that I was expecting and what justified me buying these. It almost seems like the tweeters are MIA: as I cover the tweeters with my hand back and forth I just could not hear much output at all. I really do question the tweeters and see that there is no visible magnet either like other pioneer car tweeters I had in the past. I have nothing but praise for the solid woofer and rubber surrounds on these little speakers. It is amazing how they also make plastic frames for these that you have to look twice at to make sure as they can almost pass for die-cast alloy. No grills are included as they typically are mounted behind the existing dash grills. Speaker wire and mounting hardware are included but you typically use the existing when you make the swap with the OEM.

These were purchased for a 1996 Miata that lacked factory-installed speakers and headrest cutouts. Since these were not available, I created my own wiring harnesses. Oh my goodness!! I can't believe how different the sounds are! I can now clearly hear my radio, which I couldn't before. I normally don't play music loudly out of respect for others, but with these, I can avoid distracting others while still listening at a comfortable volume. I'd like to express my gratitude to the producer.

A previous owner had installed some terrible dash speakers in my SAAB 9-3. Pioneer coaxials have always sounded fairly normal to me while still being reasonably priced. When I first mounted them, they were downright rough, as shown by testing with a tuned mic (+6dB from 5K and up), and midbass was rolling off at 120hz, which was less shocking. I had to fade the sound to the stock rear speakers just to tolerate them because the brightness was too distracting. They did, however, break in beautifully, and each speaker now does an honest +/- 3dB from 90hz to 20KHz.

Excellent option for replacing the front speakers. I used them as dash speaker replacements in a 1985 Chevrolet C-10, and they matched perfectly. To help minimize air space behind the speaker and boost sound quality, I installed them with small round food storage containers underneath them. I'm not sure how useful it is, but it's simple to undo. Definitely superior to 30+ year old paper factory speakers!

The package arrived in good shape. I purchased them to replace the speakers in the D pillar of a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe LT, but I had to modify them because they were slightly larger and deeper than the stock speaker. Once I got past that, they were actually a pretty good sounding speaker.

On my 2013 Chrysler 300 with the Beats audio system, I used these to replace the dash and rear door speakers. The dash fit fine, but the mounting ears on the back doors had to be slightly clipped (ears are plastic). The sensitivity was almost identical to the original speakers, but the high end is much smoother and more extended. I can't comment on the bass output because my machine routes bass below 100Hz elsewhere, but I wouldn't expect much from this scale anyway. The soundstage is much better than the stock speakers, and the bass drivers fit in much better. Overall, I am very happy with these speakers' results and would strongly recommend them.

For the price, these are excellent speakers. My seat headrest speakers were upgraded, and these are just what I needed. They have excellent all-around sound and are very noisy. I'd buy these again in a heartbeat.

The Highlander's factory dash holes are precisely aligned. Either buy a Tacotunes harness or tinker with the factory ones. It won't work in a 2019 Toyota 4runner. The sound quality is superior to stock, with a much cleaner top end. Job on the $35-40 range.

I used 600hz high pass filters so the bass wouldn't blast them out - decent sound reproduction for front speakers in a regular car system Bass sounds are not well served by 3 1/2" speakers.
